Learn the 92 phonograms and the 14 charts incorporating the 25 spelling rules to analyze words. You will use dictation and analysis to learn the words on a chart. You will learn to sound out new words. You will reinforce these skills through drills. Mastery comes through use. The key component in learning to read is learning to write the sounds the letters make. Once you can spell a word, you will be able to read it.
